Senior Design Capstone Project Manager

After serving as a Project Manager for the Consulting Group, I brought the lessons I learned into my senior design capstone, leading a project for BreakingT, a real-time sports apparel company. I structured our Agile workflows around sprints, set clear priorities, and drove cross-functional alignment as we tackled the challenge of inventory planning for unpredictable, trend-driven demand.

We applied the Newsvendor model to optimize production decisions, using Airtable data and stakeholder input to continuously refine our recommendations. Our final solution earned buy-in from the CEO and helped mitigate the risk of over- or understocking.

This project deepened my product mindset—blending iterative delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and user-centered problem solving.

Consulting Group at Virginia Tech Project Manager

I first learned Agile principles while leading a student consulting team supporting a boutique notebook startup. We broke the project into sprints—first validating user demand through competitive and customer research, then iterating on supplier options for cost, quality, and delivery speed.

I facilitated standups, led stakeholder updates, and delivered a final recommendation that aligned product-market fit with operational feasibility.
That experience taught me how to manage ambiguity, prioritize value, and drive outcomes through rapid, iterative work—core to how I now approach product.

Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers VP of Student Affairs

As VP of Student Affairs, I empowered my team to self-organize and lead the planning of IISE’s social events. I set clear goals, provided guidance, and supported team leads as they took ownership of budgeting, logistics, promotion, and feedback.

This approach turned every event into a learning cycle—testing ideas, gathering insights, and continuously improving. It reinforced my belief that great products and teams thrive when people are trusted to own the process.

Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers Professional Development Chair

As Professional Development Chair, I led autonomous teams that partnered directly with companies to design and deliver professional development events and workshops. Rather than simply managing logistics, my focus was on strategically aligning event goals with both industry needs and member growth—ensuring every session offered actionable skills and meaningful connections.

Through cultivating strong external relationships and empowering teams to tailor content, I gained experience in stakeholder negotiation, program design, and driving engagement—skills that translate directly into managing product roadmaps and customer-centric solutions.
